GOLF
FOR 50p PER HOLE!!
The
cold winter months are the time when golfer are planning their next
golfing getaway. With many British courses cold and rainswept, many
look to the warmer climes of the Mediterranean. Denmark, however,
offers an interesting and affordable alternative that is only one
and a half hours away from mainland UK. Golfers can even catch a
morning flight from London, Gatwick and be on the first tee by midday.
Golf
costs as little as 50p per hole and there are virtually no queues.
Visitors pay the green fee and can then play for as long as they
wish. Whatsmore, many clubs such as Bejle and Furesco offer three
contrasting nine hole courses to play, providing variety as well
as quality.
The
Golf Travel Club, in association with Maersk Air and the Danish
Tourist Boarch have put together competitive packages for golfers
looking for a short break. Prices lead in at £259 per person,
based on two sharing for two nights at the four star Marienlyst
Hotel in Helsingor (just north of Copenhagen). Package includes
return scheduled flights with Maersk Air, bed and breakfast for
two nights and car hire. Golf is extra and starts at £19 per
day.
