STAY
AND PLAY AT
WILLOW VALLEY
Enterprising
Willow Valley Golf & Country Club is introducing a stay and
play late scheme, following the successful conclusion of an accommodation
agreement with the adjacent Days Inn chain, located at Hartshead
Moor.
This latest
all inclusive package to be introduced by the Club, allows members
or visitors to stay over at a reduced rate and play the all-weather
floodlit academy course until 10 pm, rain or shine.
Ideal for dark
winter nights, the academy course is open every day and provides
a fantastic opportunity for business personnel to get away from
it all and practice throughout the season for only £4 per player.
Alternatively, the new service allows golfers to play the north
and south courses until dark.
Accommodation
provided at the Days Inn is all en-suite and is available from as
little as £17.50 per person, based on two people sharing with a
group discount when booking ten or more rooms. As part of the service,
Willow Valley is offering a full English breakfast between 7.30
am and 11.30 for the special price of just £3.20.
Located within
easy walking distance of the club’s impressive facilities, the aim
of the new service is to allow golfers to enjoy their game long
into the evening and relax in the knowledge that they don’t have
to journey home.
Central to Willow
Valley ‘stay and play’ plan is its three hole floodlit range which
is a scaled down version of the club’s bigger courses and can be
played in around one hour. The specially designed range is screened
from the two bigger courses giving golfers privacy and thus avoiding
the often intimidating nature of a normal golf course.
Club professional
Kieran O’Brien says: “Our aim at Willow Valley is to provide a total
golfing experience and the introduction of the new stay and play
scheme, builds on this strategy. Now, with accommodation next to
the course we can truly say that when you book a package at Willow
Valley, everything is taken care of.”
Willow Valley
boasts a total of three courses in all. The highly challenging
south course has been designed to top international standards and
includes water hazards, sharp dog-legs and impressive island greens.
Alternatively, golfers can choose the gentler nine hole North Course,
which can be played quicker. These, together with the floodlit
academy and practice range aims to provide the most comprehensive
package of golfing facilities in the North of England.
