Experience
the history of golf
Golf Connections’
Heritage Tour
A very special and unique
golfing experience has been designed by the Scottish golf tour operator Golf Connections,
which takes the player back to the roots of the game.
‘The only place in the
world to establish a Heritage Tour is Scotland, the Home of Golf. That’s where
it all began several centuries ago and where you still find the roots of the game
on the oldest playing courses in the world, with a high skill base of traditional
club making and a number of historians, who can tell all the stories from times
gone past.’ Mike Graf Tour Director of Golf Connections says.
Golf Connections’ Heritage
Tour is available as a standard or an executive package over 6 days to suit different
budgets. The final itineraries will be individually designed to meet personal
requirements.
The Standard Tour
includes a visit to the Heritage Golf Factory and the British Golf Museum in St
Andrews, two rounds of golf with original Hickory clubs and gutta percha balls
at the oldest playing links golf course in the world and an original moorland
golf course, a whisky tasting or heritage evening, 6 nights B&B in 3 star
hotels and car hire. Golf with modern clubs can be arranged on request and built
into the tour.
Additionally to the above
The Executive Tour includes a Hickory clinic, 18 holes at one of St Andrews’
golf courses, overnight stay at the Old Course Hotel, a hickory playing certificate,
an original gutta percha golf ball, an additional round of modern golf, presentations
about the history of golf and the historic courses played and the roots of the
game, 6 nights B&B in 5 star hotels, executive self drive inclusive or chauffeur
service at additional cost.
Prices start at £ 493 (approx.
$789) for the standard tour and £1345 (approx. $2152) for the executive tour.
US$ prices are depending on the exchange rate at the time of booking.
Both tours can be extended
to a more extensive golf holiday or combined with other cultural and shopping
activities and can include special itineraries for non-golfers.
