The Orchid at Mauna Lani is situated on the Kohala coastline in Hawaii, and is a perfect escape for a relaxing break. The Centre for Well-Being offers a wide range of treatments focusing on ancient techniques and philosophies.

One of several new treatments this year is "The Wisdom of Roses" - applying the healing properties of the rose, which has the natural ability to lift the spirit and is one of the oldest flowers on earth. The treatment begins with a rose powder massage to gently exfoliate the skin, followed by a rose gel shower and a nurturing rose oil massage. The treatment is US$110 (approx. £68) for 50 minutes. Orchid at Mauna Lani has many other sporting pursuits, including two championship golf courses, a 10,000 square-foot swimming pool and a protected white sand lagoon for watersports.

From 1st May, room prices start from US$525 (approx. £326) for a deluxe double oceanview room; an oceanfront one-bedroom suite starts from US$1050 (approx. £652). Prices are based on a per room per night basis and are exclusive of meals and tax.

Ihilani Resort & Spa is situated on a white sand beach on the western shore of the Ko Olina Resort in West Oahu, Hawaii. The resort is offering a "Hawaiian Harmony" package to redress the balance of stress and over-work.

Based on a three-night minimum stay, guests have a choice of three fifty-minute spa treatments, use of the spa facilities, applicable tax and spa gratuities. Service charge is not included. Prices start from US$398 (approx. £247) for single occupancy and from US$494 (approx. £306) for double occupancy until 23rd December, 1999.
