Portmarnock Lays Down Winter Golf Challenge

Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links have put together a two-night winter package (starting prices around £109). Golfers will receive a 'warm-you- up- pack ' of an engraved hip-flask to be filled before every round, hand-warmers and a Portmarnock woolly hat.

The Links package includes one round on the Bernhard Langer-designed championship Links and two nights' accommodation, with Irish breakfast. After the 18th, relaxation is in the clubhouse bar or restaurant or the 19th Century Jameson Bar. There is also the award-winning Osborne restaurant, a chance to explore Dublin or join in the hotel's 'Look and Cook' courses.

Links Golfer with 'Warm-You-Up-Pack' costs IR£169 (UKP£145) until March 2000. Mid-winter discount in December, January and February, excluding Christmas and New Year, brings the price down to just IR£127.
