RACING AND GAMBLING IN DEAUVILLE

Deauville Casino offers French and English roulette tables, blackjack and punto-banco. The horseracing and showjumping season starts in May and continues until October at the Touques and Clairefontaine racecourses. Deauville is also the polo capital of France and the season lasts throughout August.

The Hotel Royal is the perfect base for visiting the races and the casino. From 1st May until 2nd July, prices start from 1600FFR for a double country view room and from 1800FFR for a double seaview room. From 3rd July until 17th September, high season prices apply. Prices are based on a per room per night basis, exclusive of meals and a 7FFR per person, per night tax.
