LAS
VEGAS' NEWEST GOLF DESTINATION
The
Resort at Summerlin, the first luxury golf and spa resort off the
Strip, is bordered by three championship golf courses, including
TPC at The Canyons, home of the Las Vegas Senior Classic by TruGreen-ChemLawn.
Upon
its 29 June, 1999 opening, The Resort will control 50 percent of
the tee-times at TPC at the Canyons. Guests can conveniently secure
preferred tee times with seven courses at five area golf facilities.
Several hotel golf packages are also available.
The
Resort at Summerlin is located 25 minutes northwest of McCarran
International Airport and the Las Vegas Strip. It features two Regent
International hotels, the Regent Grand Palms and the Regent Grand
Spa - totalling 541 guest rooms and suites; the 40,000 square foot
Aguae Sulis spa; Parian and Ceres fine dining; Peso de Vida shops
and dining; a 50,000 square foot conference and banquet centre and
casino.

to Las Vegas will now have a true luxury resort adjacent to some
of the most challenging desert golf in the southwest, " said
Brian McMullan, president and CEO. "Our golf packages make
booking a golf vacation as easy as tap in".
Resort
guests have access tot a total of seven area golf courses and may
book tee times at each course through the Resort before arrival
or during their stay. The Resort will provide regular complimentary
shuttle service to each course, including TPC at the Canyons, Angel
park Golf Club, Badlands Golf Club, Painted Desert Golf Club and
the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort. Arrangements can also be made
for corporate competitions during conferences or meetings.
The
Putting Green tavern next door to the Regent Grand Spa overlooks
a 13,000 square foot natural bentgrass putting green designed by
Bobby Weed, architect of the TPC at The Canyons. A meeting place
for golfers, before and after a day of golf, the tavern is open
from 6am to 9pm and serves light fare.

- The Tournament
Players Club at The Canyons, site of the annual Las Vegas
Senior Classic, is a par 71 course designed by Bobby Weed with
player consultant Raymond Floyd. It features formidable canyon
fairways flanked by rugged desert terrain.
- Angel
Park Golf Club has two Arnold Palmer-designed 18-hole par
71 courses, a 12-hole part 3 executive course with 9 holes lit
for night golfing and 18-hole putting course.
- The Las
Vegas Paiute Golf Resort features two par 72 courses set in
the striking high desert ancestral home of the Las Vegas Paiute
Tribe. The two courses were designed by renowned architect Pete
Dye and his only courses in Nevada.
- Badlands
Golf Club, three 9-hole courses designed by Johnny Miller
with player consultant Chi Chi Rodriguez, is a sever test for
even the most experienced first-time visitor. Players can combine
any two courses to play a full round of golf.
- Painted
Desert Golf Club, former site of the Nevada Open, is a par
72 course designed by Jay Morrish. Set within a natural desert
habitat, Painted Desert features numerous mounds, challenging
greens and target fairways making it a challenging place to play.
