Carnarvon Golf Club

IJust five kilometres south of the Olympic site is the Carnarvon Golf Club. The lengthy layout is gearing up for plenty of visitors as the Olympic media village, which will house more than 1,200 people, is a pitching wedge distance from the course and knowing media types they will bring their clubs.

Carnarvon is always lush which makes it play deceptively long. But its strength lies in its short holes. The par-3s offer great variety, with the 180-yard 12th being the pick of the bunch. The green slopes markedly from left to right and deep bunkers short right will turn a mishit into a double bogey in no time.

Concord and Carnarvon are woodland type courses and are as lush as you will find anywhere in Australia.
