SYDNEY:
The Home of Five Rings and 216 Great Holes.
Terrey Hills Golf Club
 |
High
in the hills overlooking the beach suburbs is the leafy suburb
of Terrey Hills – home to the Terrey Hills Golf and Country
Club. This is one of Sydney's more exclusive clubs and
has played host to events on Australasian PGA Tour.
Its
exclusivity doesn't place it outside the realm of

getting
a game there. In fact, during the Olympics overseas visitors
will be welcome but at the discretion of management. They
must be a member of a club and have an official handicap.
A written application for a tee time is advisable.

You
won't be disappointed if you go to the trouble of writing either.
Terrey Hills offers some of the best-manicured fairways and greens
in Sydney. Designed by Graham Marsh, the layout has many holes that
will live long in the memory. The 421-yard par-4 10th
rates as a real test with water left, bunkers left and right and
a fairway dotted with ski-field like moguls throwing down the challenge.
