In the
heart of the Mediterranean, just one hour from Europe, Tunisia
is still the eternal land of welcome and of different civilisations.
Geographically close, but very different on account of its
ancient and prestigious
|
|
cultural
heritage, Tunisia with its captivating charms offers a never-ending
voyage of discovery.
The north
covered with superb, majestic forests of oak, pine and mimosa,
contrasts sharply with the deep south with its endless dunes,
its mountain villages and its shady, peaceful palm groves.
But the spellbinding orchards of Hammamet and the soothing
olive groves of Sousse and Monastir temper the contrasts.
The unity of the countryside is
restored by its 1200 km coastline which provides a note of
marine freshness to the foot of the cliffs at Tabarka and
the beaches of Djerba, the rich mystical oasis island of which
dreams are made.
Tunisia's
golfing vocation is demonstrated in welcoming, exotic centres
and courses have flourished to form a chain which stretches
the entire length of the coast. The courses are open all year
round ,with sunshine whatever the season, and are close to
hotel facilities which offer a whole host of leisure activities.
