The Roxburghe sits on the on the Duke of Roxburghe's magnificant estate at Kelso. The course is the only Championship standard golf course in the Scottish Borders. The course was designed by ex-Ryder cup player and one of Britain's leading golf architects, Dave Thomas.

The course lies some 3 miles south of Kelso, and about a 40 minute drive from Edinburgh airport. It features mature woodland, deep challenging bunkers and generous greens.

The Roxburghe is open to non-members on a pay and play basis, though it is advisable to call first to book a tee time.

The estate also features the 22 bedroomed Roxburghe Hotel, and there are special package deals available for the golfing vistitor. Currently, until the 31st January 1999, a two night hotel stay, with breakfast and dinner, is UKP 160 per person, with a free round of golf included.
