Golf in Texas:
Panhandle Plains

Better known as cattle country, the Panhandle Plains offer big skies, sweeping sunsets, great plains and breathtaking vistas. Adventurers can climb the majestic multicoloured cliffs of Caprock Escarpment and explore the Palo Duro Canyon on horseback.

This region has been the stage for plenty of human drama, with players such as the Native American Comanches tribe, Spanish conquistadors who sought golf and the Texas Rangers who tried to keep the peace.

Golf in the Panhandle Plains provides some exciting challenges as well. High ball hitters beware, you'd better learn to keep your ball under control as winds can whip across the plains and take with them anything not tied down!
